If you are looking for some plans to keep entertained over the next week, look no further as we have rounded up the events taking place across South Lakeland.

1. Breabach

On Saturday, March 5, head down to the Brewery Arts Centre for a night of traditional Scottish music. 2020 marked a very special year in the life of Scottish folk favourites Breabach, as it was their 15th anniversary. 

Tickets are currently on sale for £16.50 and the event starts at 8pm.

2. Lancaster Orchestra 

Following on from a hugely successful concert in December Lancaster’s Haffner Orchestra is back. The guest conductor for the concert, Daniel Parkinson, has chosen a beautiful and interesting programme of Vaughan Williams' Five Variants of Dives and Lazarus.

The event will take place on Thursday, March 3 and tickets are £15, and 18 years and under are free. You can book tickets online or in-person at Lancaster Visitor Information Centre and Morecambe Visitor Information Centre.  They are also available at the door.

3. Monument Hifi Presents JUNGLE

This will be the organiser's first event of 2022, featuring the best local DJs playing a whole range of genres including Jungle, Breaks and Techno. Tickets are £5 on the door or you can book online, the event will start at 8pm finishing at 8.30pm. 

Artists include Lucidik, Denver, Nial Dolan, Lanny Sound Collective, Monument Residents.

4. WRECKED

Beneath the vast surface of Windermere’s waters lies sunken ships and hidden treasures just waiting to be found.

You can explore a new immersive experience that will amaze and inspire as you seek to solve puzzles, reveal secrets, and discover stories that were once lost to the water.

The exhibition will be on until Thursday, March 10 at the Windermere Jetty Museum and tickets cost £4.50 to £24.50.

5. The Matinee Murder by Highly Suspect

Join acclaimed mystery maestros Highly Suspect for a hilarious, immersive, and interactive murder mystery, which you must solve! Featuring a fiendish plot, evidence to examine, cryptic clues to crack and four highly suspicious suspects.

The event takes place at Grasmere village hall, starting at 7:30. Adult tickets are £10.

6. South Lakeland Zoo entry

On Saturday, March 5 you can join zoo staff and find out what it means to be a vet working in a zoo. You will get a first-hand account of how the staff look after the animals and go behind the scenes in their onsite vet room. The event is free, you just need to register.

7. Comedy Club

The comedy club is back at the Brewery Arts Centre and this month the comedy lineup contains lashings of Jonathan Mayor, Lloyd Griffiths, Chris Kehoe and Lindsay Santoro!.

The comedy club will be at the Arts Centre till Friday, March 11 2022 so head down this Friday before it goes.

8. Street Market

On Saturday, you can head down to the Ulverston street market and grab yourself some bargains and support independent local businesses. The market takes place every Thursday and Saturday.

9. Levare Quartet 

On Sunday, March 6 head down to the Heron Theatre in Milnthorpe for the Levare Quartet. Praised for their youthful enthusiasm and high professional standard, the Levare Quartet are rapidly establishing themselves as a leading student chamber group in the UK.

The event starts at 2:30pm till 4:30pm and tickets are £15.

10. The Beatles: Get Back - The rooftop concert 

The Brewery Arts Centre will be showing a special Beatles film. The theatrically exclusive piece will present opening scenes from Episode 1 of the docuseries, with an overview of The Beatles’ career from 1956 up until the rooftop concert in 1969.
