Over the weekend, three of the school's pupils represented Cumbria at the English School Cross Country Championship which were held in Kent.

Queen Katherine Pupils, Millie Jebb, Alfie and Joshua Todd competed against hundreds of students from across the UK.

Headteacher Jon Hayes, said: "It’s great to see yet more sporting success for our students and at such an incredibly high level.

"To represent the entire county at the national level is something to be very proud of and is only possible with a huge amount of dedication and commitment. Well done to Millie, Josh and Alfie."

Mr Daglish said: "A superb achievement - we are very proud."
