A popular 4-star hotel in Bowness has appointed a vastly experienced new General Manager.

Corus Hotels, which owns the luxurious Belsfield Hotel on Kendal Road in Bowness-on-Windermere, announced the appointment of Mark Starkey, just as the hotel is gearing up for the bustling Bowness tourist season.

Mark has over 25 years of experience working in the hospitality industry, having previously worked throughout the UK and around the world.

Mark said of his appointment:

The Belsfield Hotel is situated on the shore of Lake Windermere in 6 acres of landscaped gardens, and boasts a 2 AA Rosette restaurant.

It has 64 guest rooms, a leisure centre with a heated indoor swimming pool and a sauna, and a games room, where guests can play snooker.
