A WEEKEND of rugby is coming up this Easter between Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale who will enjoy a friendly game.

Kendal Social XV v Kirkby Lonsdale Social XV will meet on April 15 at 6:30pm.

 On Easter Monday, April 18 the main pitch will show the HALBRO Colts League Senior Plate Semi-Final match which will be contested between Kendal Senior U18 Colts and New Brighton (Merseyside) Senior U18 Colts

The club will be open from 12 noon and the match will kick off at 1pm.

The ‘Number 8’ will be open from 12 noon serving hot and cold food and drink.

Home-made pies, chips, peas, and gravy will also be on offer alongside Steak, Meat and Potato, Cheese and Onion, or Chicken, Bacon, and Leek.

The winners of this semi-final will go through to play Blackburn Senior U18 Colts in the HALBRO Colts League Senior Plate final on May 1 at Eccles Rugby Club, which is located just north of the Trafford Centre in Manchester

The Kendal Senior Squad consists of both Junior U17 Colts and Senior U18 Colts who will be merging along with many other clubs at the start of the season to ensure that they can fulfil all the Senior League and Conference fixtures.

The combined squad, with only a single defeat in the last game of the league campaign, finished runners-up by a single point to Newcastle (Staffordshire).

The Junior U17 Colts are winners of this year's Cumbria Colts U17 Cup, defeating Penrith at Wigton last month.
