A PLANNING application has been submitted for the use of a section of the Westmorland Shopping Centre for a driving theory examination centre.
The plans, submitted to South Lakeland District Council (SLDC), would see a stockroom in the centre converted ‘for the sitting and administration of computer-based driving theory test exams on behalf of the DVSA’.
Six jobs are expected to be created if the plan is passed.
It is proposed to be open from 8am-10pm on weekdays and from 9am-6pm at the weekend.
