A MAN was arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer.
On March 26, Cumbria Police made an arrest on Drovers Drive, Kendal, for police assault and a public order offence.
The incident occurred after a report of someone trying to break into a property and making threats to the resident inside.
Police attended and within eight minutes of the call to police he had been arrested.
A force spokesman said: “It is not acceptable for anyone to be made to feel fearful in their own home.
“It is also unacceptable to assault a person, particularly an emergency worker who is trying to help protect members of the public.”
