A PLANNING application seeking retrospective permission for a wooden kiosk to sell snacks to walkers at the foot of a Yorkshire Dales mountain has been approved.
Adam Gough's proposal for a stall at Crina Bottom at the base of Ingleborough was discussed and given the green light by the national park authority's planning committee.
Neil Heseltine, chairman of the national park authority, described it as a 'modest, low-key scheme'.
"This absolutely is not about opening a café halfway up Ingleborough," he said.
"This is about a small timber kiosk at the bottom of a garden opening for a few hours at the weekend and during the holidays for the sale of a few snacks."
