A LUXURY pub company has applied for a licence to bring a new eatery to Ulverston.

The Inno Hospitality Collective is planning on opening a new restaurant called Wasabi in the town, according to a licensing application.

The application relates to an empty unit in Cavendish Street.

An application for a licence to serve alcohol and late night refreshements has been submitted to South Lakeland District Council.

It suggests the venue could be open between 11am and 11.30pm up to seven days a week.

A public notice for the application said: "Notice is hereby given that we Inno Hospitality Collective Limited have applied to South Lakeland District Council for the grant of a premises picence in respect of premises to be known as Wasabi 5 Cavendish Street, Ulverston, LA12 7AD.

"The proposed licensable activities are: Sale of alcohol, 11am to 11.30pm hours, seven days a week. Late night refreshments, 11pm to 11.30pm hours, seven days a week.

"Any representations regarding the above mentioned application must be received in writing by Public Protection (Licensing), South Lakeland District Council, South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 4UQ or e-mail licensing@southlakeland.gov.uk no later than June 9 2022 stating the grounds for the representation."
