"Jack surprised me with my beautiful black diamond ring on my 29th Birthday in February just in time before the wedding."

Jack and Lucy have described the day as perfect, they said: "From the moment we arrived at the Gilpin Lakehouse everything was perfect, the staff made us feel so welcome and took great care of us.

"We walked down the aisle together which made our day so special before getting married on the lake at the boathouse.

"We had our first dance out by the Lake which is again another moment we will never forget.

After all the formalities were done, we went back to our room to share the news with our families who were overjoyed for us.

"As we had the rest of the day to celebrate, we spent most of our time in the hot tubs enjoying the views of the lake and scenery of our beautiful venue.

"It honestly was the most relaxing/stress-free day and is something we would recommend to everyone who doesn’t fancy a big wedding."

"After their special day, the couple headed back to Newcastle on Thursday to get ready to leave for their Honeymoon to Crete.

Jack and Lucy said: "It was perfect going so soon after the wedding as it meant we were still in our lovely little newly wedded bubble. "
