Tesco has sent out a warning to anybody who buys frozen food.

The retailer said packs of a popular product sold at its store could be 'unsafe' and have urged people not to eat it.

A batch of the supermarket giant's frozen croissants has been recalled over a possible mix-up.

Some packets of Tesco's All Butter croissants could contain almond croissants, with the nuts not declared on packaging.

Tesco said: "We’re recalling one batch code of Tesco frozen All Butter Croissants x6 as they may contain Tesco frozen Almond Croissants. This means that almond won’t be declared on the packaging."

Anyone who has bought the item and has a nut allergy is advised not to eat it and return the product for a full refund.

The affected batch is Tesco frozen All Butter Croissants x6 (255G). The batch code is LL 111.

No other batches are said to be affected by the recall.
