AN acclaimed organist known for his numerous TV appearances is due to perform in Windermere this month.
The Royalty Cinema in Bowness is set to host a lunchtime concern this Tuesday, led by guest artist John Bowdler, one of the team of organists from the famous Tower Ballroom, Blackpool, who will be playing the historic Wurlitzer Organ.
Originally from Wigan, John began playing the organ at the age of eight and has been performing at the tower since 1987.
When not playing in Blackpool he is in frequent demand to play for organ societies and charity events around the country.
He has also made several TV appearances, notably on BBC Breakfast, and also playing for Rory Bremner and his ‘strictly’ partner Erin Boag on the TV series Great British Views.
The concert will begin at 12.30pm and tickets are £7.50 on the door.
