WOMAN arrested after theft at Kendal jewellers.
Police recieved a report that a woman had entered a shop on Market Place, stolen watches before exiting the premises and leaving the area by car on June 14.
Officers subsequently stopped a car on the M6 and arrested the driver.
Wiktoria Bartowiak, 24, of Kingfisher Drive, Bury, was subsequently charged with theft from a shop, driving without insurance and resisting/obstructing a constable.
She was bailed to attend Barrow Magistrates’ Court on 29 June.
Detectives continued their investigation and, on Monday (20 June), officers made a second arrest.
The man, aged 30 and from London, was subsequently released under investigation whilst officers continue with their enquiries.
