A food delivery app business has new owners who are looking to take the Kendal market share from Just Eat and Deliveroo.
Ben Blackburn is the new owner of Kendal Eats with his business partner Sam Benson.
He said: "We work the same as Just Eat, however, we offer commission rates over half the price of our big name competitors.
"This means that our local takeaways are saving money every single time an order is placed through our app rather than our competitors."
Kendal Eats charges businesses a 7.5 per cent comission compared to Just Eat which charges 15 per cent.
When asked how the app has marketed itself against these big-name brands, Ben said: "What we do is Facebook ads. We have spent a considerable amount of money on Facebook, and we promote the takeaways through our apps as well.
"We're also sponsoring food banks. This week, for every order placed through our app 50 pence goes to the King's Food Bank in Kendal."
Ben is also the owner of Blackpool Eats and Fleetwood Eats, saying that there have been 8,000 orders between them so far.
