AN APPLICATION for a new driveway to serve a Grade II-listed property has been submitted to South Lakeland District Council.
Jonathan and Deborah Jones are seeking planning permission and listed building consent for the work at Brown Robin, situated behind The Netherwood Hotel and Spa, near Grange.
A planning statement submitted in support of the application says the current track used to access Brown Robin is under the ownership of neighbouring Blawith Farm.

"The owners of Blawith Farm have proposed erecting private gates along this track," says the statement from Steven Abbott Associates LLP.
"This would result in the applicants not being to access the property at Brown Robin via car.
"As a result, this proposed new driveway is needed to serve the property by the applicants."
The statement says that such action from Blawith Farm would also prevent emergency services and waste collection vehicles from accessing the property.
