CHILDREN were treated with a trip to the ‘carnival’ in a fun-filled leavers party.

Six children who are part of Jellytots Childcare in Grange were given the opportunity to play foosball, hook a fish, ring toss, cornhole, darts and tin can toss. They could also play with a slot machine and the garden toys.

Children cheered on their friends as they competed against each other and celebrated their wins.

They were also treated to a ‘rawrsome party lunch’ after which they finished the day by partaking in some dancing during the afternoon.

Jellytots Childcare is run by a mother and daughter team, Sonia and Amy respectively, from their home in Grange-over-Sands.

The pair have been childminding together for nine years and offer full time and term time contracts for children aged between 0-four years old.

Amy Tyrer says that the children had the ‘most fantastic time’ at the party which was held to celebrate three of the children who are moving on to nursery after the summer period.

“We had six children at our leavers party, three of which are moving on to nursery after the summer,” said Amy.

“It was the best send-off we could have given them as everyone had the most fantastic time. The garden was filled with chatter, laughter, clapping and cheers, it was the most amazing atmosphere!

“There was no sadness when someone didn’t win, the children were too busy being proud of what their friends had achieved and would clap and shout out ‘Yay! Well done!’”

The childminder boasted about the ‘incredible children’ the youngsters have turned into, and showed pride in their attitude towards their friends.

Amy said: “It was extremely sweet and just shows what incredible children they’ve grown into. We are so happy we were able to treat them to one last awesome party.”
