A VERY caring young girl from Kendal has raised over £300 for charity after she donated her hair.

Harriet Storey had her hair cut on July 19 and managed to donate a foot of hair to The Little Princess Trust.

The Trust works to provide wigs for children who are going through cancer treatment.

As well as donating her hair, she managed to raise an amazing £328 to donate to the charity.

The Princess Trust donates millions of pounds to projects focused on more effective treatments for childhood cancer.

"Harriet’s family and friends all love her short new hair style and think what she had done for the Little Princess Trust is wonderful.

"Harriet absolutely loves her new short haircut and feels happy knowing her hair is donated to a little child who will really benefit from a real hair wig to boose their confidence, and the amazing amount of money she has raised for cancer."
