A MOTORIST who was drunk in charge of a vehicle has been handed a hefty fine.
Bartlomiej Biernacki admitted that he committed the offence while driving a Mercedes E350.
It happened at Brantfield Road, Windermere, on July 20.
South Cumbria Magistrates' Court heard he had 103 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, over the legal limit of 35.
Biernacki, of Cottingley Gardens in Leeds, was fined £323 by the court and handed ten penalty points.
He was also told to pay a £129 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.
