HOSPITAL admissions for Covid-19 have decreased in the last seven days.
University Hospitals Of Morecambe Bay Trust was caring for 42 Covid-19 patients in hospital as of Tuesday, figures show, down from 57 on the same day the previous week, according to figures released by NHS England.
The number of beds at University Hospitals Of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid-19 decreased by 38 per cent in the last four weeks - 28 days ago, there were 68.
The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalised nationally has decreased by 37 per cent in the last four weeks, while the number on mechanical ventilators has decreased by 12 per cent.
The figures also show that 51 new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in University Hospitals Of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust in the week to August 7, down from 70 in the previous seven days.
