Lancashire Police announced the death of an individual after the incident that happened on M6 southbound between Broughton and junction 31 at Samlesbury.
The motorway remains closed at this time.

"No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.
"The driver of the vehicle was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and we are still working to ensure their next of kin have all been informed, so understandably cannot say more at this time.
