A PROPOSAL to construct a three-bedroom house in the garden behind a dental practice has been submitted to South Lakeland District Council.
The new, two-storey property at 7 Fountain Street, Ulverston, would have a car port that would accommodate two cars.
The proposal would see the existing garage at the back of the garden demolished.
A design, access and heritage statement has been submitted by John Coward Architects in support of the application from Christian Turner.

"The garden and the garage are in a poor state of repair," says the statement.
"It is proposed to divide the garden up to accommodate the new house, which will itself have a smaller garden."
The statement says no work on Fountain Street Dental Practice, which is a Grade II-listed building, would take place.
