A MAN is due to appear in court after allegedly causing a serious injury to another whilst driving without due care and attention.
Roberto Da Costa Goncalves, of Compston Road in Ambleside, is charged with causing a serious injury to Andrew Cooper by careless / inconsiderate driving on October 10 2022.
He is said to have been driving a 67-plate Renault Megane on Market Place in Ambleside at the time of the incident.
The injuries sustained to the complainant and the speed the defendant was driving have yet to be disclosed.
The 34-year-old defendant will give an indication of his plea at South Cumbria Magistrates Court on November 8.
