This weekend, Grasmere is readying for the esteemed 'Cumbrian Challenge,' with over 800 enthusiastic participants keen to support Walking With The Wounded charity.
Organized by the distinguished Armed Forces charity, teams from Sunbelt Rentals, BAE Systems Submarines, DXC Technology, and FDM Group are amongst those tackling Cumbria's rugged Fells.
Now in its 11th year, the event provides critical assistance to veterans and their families through WWTW's mental health, employment, and care coordination schemes.
The illustrious Challenge offers participants one of three different routes, with each step taken raising essential funds to ensure the continuation of veteran support.
To date, the Cumbrian Challenge has powered more than 2,000 teams, raising upwards of £2 million and positively impacting the lives of countless Armed Forces veterans in desperate need of WWTW's essential services.
James Davis, events manager at Walking With The Wounded, said: "We are thrilled to announce Sunbelt Rentals as the title sponsor for this year's Cumbrian Challenge event.
"The ongoing dedication of the Sunbelt Rentals team to our cause has been truly inspiring, with numerous teams from the company tackling the Cumbrian Fells year after year in solidarity with veterans and their families.
"We also extend our thanks to Gasway, BAE Systems Submarines, DXC Technology and FDM Group for their generous support of The Cumbrian Challenge. With this collective support, we aim to make a significant impact, providing vital support to veterans and their families through our core programmes."
