THE Police have urged motorists to avoid the A591 at Plumgarths roundabout, Kendal after a crash caused significant tailbacks.
The crash, between a car and a van before the police were called at 1.36pm today (August 14), left one person in hospital.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police advised 'motorists to avoid if possible the area around Plumgarths roundabout, on the A591 near Kendal.'
"Significant tailbacks have built up following the collision - and motorists are asked to seek alternative routes if possible," they added.
