THE date for the reopening of a Kendal bar has been announced.

Bootleggers Bar, on 13 Market Place, has been closed since the pandemic.

In June plans to bring the venue ‘back to life’ were given the go-ahead after Westmorland and Furness Council approved a planning application for a part retrospective first-floor rear extension to allow its reconfiguration.

The official opening date has been announced for September 28 from 6.30pm until 2am.

Bootleggers will be serving food and drinks on the day.

Live music will be from the four-piece cover band OTT followed by a DJ.

Early bird tickets are sold out but standard admission tickets can be purchased for £10.
