An annual event took place at the weekend to officially welcome the new mayor of a south Cumbrian town.
The procession, known as Civic Sunday, happened on September 1 and saw Councillor Graham Scrogham greeted by the Ulverson community after taking on the role.
The event involves a parade and service in the town, giving the new mayor the chance to speak to residents as well as promoting the charities he will be backing over the next 12 months.
A spokesperson from Ulverston Town Council commented: "An enjoyable afternoon was had by all.
"We would like to give a special mention to the guest speakers from the Mayor's chosen charities - North West Blood Bikes Lancashire and Lakes, and The Bluebell Foundation - and also The Coro for hosting the event and to Ulverston Town Band for providing the music for the afternoon."
The MP for Barrow and Furness, Michelle Scrogham, was also in attendance as she led the parade alongside her husband.
