THE Co-op on Market Street in Ulverston is reopening today after a seven-week programme of works and improvements.
The store opens between 7am-10pm daily, with the convenience retailer supporting around 30 local jobs across both its Market Street and nearby Priory Road stores.
The new-look Co-op serves-up an in-store bakery and focuses on fresh, chilled and healthy produce, with new refrigeration units and improvements to the back of the shop.
Parcel collection services are available at the store through Amazon and DPD, and there is a free ATM. There is also a soft plastic recycle unit available in store, which can take items including crisp packets, bread bags, lids from ready meals and yoghurt pots, biscuit wrappers and pet food pouches.
Darren Miller, Co-op store manager, said: "The whole team is delighted to have the opportunity to transform our Market Street store - it looks fantastic with a fresh new-look and more spacious layout, and we are looking forward to welcoming our members and customers back into their improved Co-op store."
