Police officers have been working in a south Cumbrian town to reinforce its position against cold callers.
The South Lakes Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) partnered with members of Cumbria Fire and Rescue to replace the 'no cold calling' signs in Ulverston on Thursday, September 19.
The purpose of the 'No Cold Calling Zone' (NCCZ) is to reduce the overall incidents of rogue trading and distraction burglary throughout Cumbria.
The initiative is designed to give local residents and communities the confidence to say 'No' to uninvited sales people and to warn rogue traders and cold callers that they are not welcome in an area.
The signs that were replaced by emergency service personnel are made to be easily identifiable, giving no excuse for salespeople to ignore them.
