More than £6,000 was given to charity by the organisers of The YOMP Mountain Challenge.
The funds raised at the June 2024 event in Kirkby Stephen were distributed to local charities and good causes.
The distribution was overseen by Jamie Atkinson, managing director of JT Atkinson Builders Merchants, the event's main sponsors.
The 2024 event saw more than 500 participants taking part in the challenge.
This year, the format was revamped to include the complete YOMP challenge, an ultra marathon on Saturday, and a family-friendly 5k on Sunday.
The YOMP is an entirely volunteer-run initiative, with the community contributing time, knowledge, and resources to make the event happen.
The £6,000 raised this year was donated to the Great North Air Ambulance, Upper Eden First Responders, The Northern Viaduct Trust, Kirkby Stephen Primary School Fundraisers, Kirkby Stephen Hockey Club, Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue, Stainmore Railway Company, Kirkby Stephen Scouts, The Upper Eden Rotary Club, and The Mallerstang Charity.
A spokesman for the YOMP said: "It’s great to be able to carry on the charitable traditions of the YOMP which has raised well in excess of £120,000 over the last 40 years.
"It’s only possible due to the fantastic local community who support the event every year."
The 2025 event, marking the 40th anniversary of The YOMP Mountain Challenge, is set to take place on June 13, 14, and 15.
Special events are planned to celebrate the milestone.
Entries for the 2025 event will open on January 1, and details can be found at www.yompmountainchallenge.com.
