DAVID Cameron has been on a flying visit to Kendal this afternoon.

The Conservative Party leader arrived in town at around 4pm and headed straight for the market, in Market Place.

He spoke to stallholders, shop workers as well as shoppers and tourists, asking them about their businesses and visits respectively.

Accompanying Mr Cameron on his whistle-stop tour was Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Westmorland and Lonsdale, Gareth McKeever.

Mr Cameron came into the Westmorland Gazette's offices for an interview, and left at around 4.45pm.
