A thriving new business is in the running for two awards on the same night.
Sedbergh Soap Company is one of four finalists in the micro business of the year category of the Startups Awards, run by Startups.co.uk, an independent online resource for budding entrepreneurs, in conjunction with Barclays Bank.
And the business, run by farmer’s wife Dorthe Pratt, is also one of three finalists in the businesswoman of the year section of the CN Group Business Awards.
Both awards will be announced at gala presentation meals on October 30.
Judges of the Startups Awards were said to be impressed with Sedbergh Soap Company’s concept and potential.
