STUDENTS will be making a stance across the region today (Wednesday) to protest against crippling debts.

The University of Cumbria students will be performing a Flash Mob stunt, an art form which originated in New York's Central Station, where they freeze for five minutes.

Dressed in red, to symbolise being 'in the red', the students will be in Ambleside at 12noon, Lancaster at 12.15pm, Penrith at 12.30pm and Carlisle at 12.45pm.
