A BID to build a new house in the Kendal Conservation Area has been thrown out on appeal.
Government planning inspector Brendan Lyons upheld South Lakeland District Council’s decision last April to refuse permission for the house at 18 Castle Crescent.
Mr Lyons said the proposed development would have an “unacceptable adverse impact” on neighbouring properties.
