A GOVERNMENT planning inspector has dismissed an appeal from a Lake District company after it was denied permission to replace a timber jetty on Windermere.
Brendan Lyons said he was concerned about the safety and accessibility of the proposed jetty, which would be on a section of the lake close to the A591.
The appeal was lodged by The Samling Ltd, owner of The Samling Hotel.
A planning application for the jetty was refused by the Lake District National Park Authority in April last year.
