A PANEL of authors will debate what makes a good fictional heroine during a special readers’ event as part of the Word Market Festival in Ulverston next month.
Crime novelist Diane Janes, Orange Prize long-listed author Patricia Fergusson and children’s writer Gareth Thompson will be in The Readers’ Night panel at The Glaxo Sports and Social Club on February 12. Local author Helen Shacklady will chair the panel.
Tickets for the event, which starts at 7pm, are £7.50 and include a hot supper. They can be obtained from The Tinners’ Rabbit Bookshop, 48 Market Street, Ulverston. Tel 01229 588858.
