COMMUTER traffic was held up this morning when a car caught fire on a busy South Lakeland trunk road.
A black Seat Stilo, driven by a man from Lancaster, caught fire on the A591 near Brettargh Holt.
The incident, at 8.17am, is believed to be due to a mechanical fault.
Police officers moved the car off the dual carriageway and traffic began moving freely again at around 8.50am.
