A WOMAN who helped hundreds of Cumbrians stop smoking has won not one, but two awards for her efforts.
Barbara Bellis increased the number of people accessing free NHS support to quit the habit by 20 per cent during her 18 months as manager of Cumbria Stop Smoking Service.
She received the Leadership Award from Smokefree North West at an awards ceremony in Manchester before being whisked away to a celebration at the House of Commons where she received a Long Service Award for her work with Stop Smoking Services.
