Lancashire Telegraph review by Ellie Hargreaves from October 10, 2009.
I’VE passed this restaurant a couple of times and never found it very inviting from the outside.
But they say you should never judge a book by its cover and this is a case in point. Inside it’s just lovely — bright, stylish and tasteful with friendly staff, plenty of seating and a very child-friendly menu.
At the moment diners can enjoy any pizza, pasta or salad with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink, for £7.60 if they go along before 6.30pm (although as I paid our bill the waiter told me the were quite flexible with those times). My pal and I went for the offer, her choosing lasagne and me the crab, courgette, red chilli and lemon pizza, which was stone-baked and huge.
Well done to whoever came up with this concoction because the combination of flavours worked perfectly — who would have thought to put lemon on a pizza?
Going by my friend's empty dish I'd say the lasagne — which was served alone — was a similar success.
In fact both plates were so clean the kitchen staff could have got away with not washing them.
With three glasses of wine and a cappuccino, the bill came to just over £20 and who could complain at that?
