THE first British woman to climb Everest twice will hold an inspirational talk to help raise funds for Cumbria Cerebral Palsy and a Kendal toddler.

Sheffield-based mountaineer Adele Pennington will share her story on December 2, with 80 per cent of the funds raised helping to buy specialised equipment for three-year-old Oliver Cunningham, who suffers severe quadriplegic cerebral palsy.

The event will be held at Troutbeck Bridge, from 7pm.

Tickets cost £7 and are available at or from The Lakeland Climbing Centre, Kendal, Run3 (KD Sports), Ambleside, Triarom Computers, Windemere, Sick and Wrong, Keswick, and Aiguille Alpine Equipment, Staveley.

Or send a cheque made out to Cumbria Cerebral Palsy and your name and address to Peter and Julie Cunningham, 61 Silver Howe Close, Kendal, LA9 7NW.
