UNIVERSITY students lent a helping hand to a tree planting scheme at an outdoor activities centre at Seatoller, near Keswick.
Glaramara’s tree planting day was cancelled in November due to the floods but native saplings were planted by students from University College Birmingham as part of their adventure tourism management studies course.
The centre’s new woodland is a result of a partnership between Bassenthwaite Reflections’ programme of environmental and landscape projects and the Woodland Trust’s MOREwoods programme of planting native trees on other people’s land.
