A POLICE-run youth disco has been hailed a success after no incidents of anti-social behavious were recorded on the evening of the event.
The disco, held at the Wheelhouse Club, in Windermere, attracted nearly 200 youngsters after officers sold wristbands at schools in the area.
PC Becky Hunter said: “The youth discos have gone down a storm with the youngsters and local community. While providing young people with an enjoyable event in a safe location, we have also seen a notable reduction in complaints we receive for youth disorder and anti-social behaviour - because youngsters have something to do.”
The next youth disco will take place on Friday, March 26.
