HUNDREDS of school children and county council staff will be wearing blue today (November 25) to show their support on the final day of anti-bullying week.

This year's theme is all about getting children and young people involved in tackling bullying and today has been designated Blue Friday'.

County Coun Philip Chappelhow, cabinet spokesperson for children's services, said this year focuses on how young people can play their part.

"It's wonderful to see so many events and activities organised throughout the country to support the campaign.

"Bullying is unacceptable and we need to make sure that we all work together to address this important issue."

People affected by bullying can get advice and support from www.connexionscumbria.co.uk or www.bullying.co.uk.
