Local business’ have also thrown their weight behind the event with Kendal sponsors including jewellery designer Jonathan May, Frank Stainton of Stainton Wines, The Globe Inn and the New Moon restaurant who have either donated money or raffle prizes.

Mr O’Kell said: “We’ve got as many beers as we can find - there will be all sort of new things for people to try too as well as old favourites from around the region.”

“Lots of local business’ have already got involved so it’s going to be a great thing for Kendal.”

Live music includes local musicians Sam Robinson, Rory Connor and Paddy Rogan and bands Roomful of Mirrors and Midnight Landing.

Folk musician Bill Llloyd will also be making apprearances throughout the festival.
