SOME of the nation's rawest and most interesting talents are due to unleash their quirky sounds on revellers at a festival hosted on the foot of Windermere.

Fell Foot Sound Festival has netted an exciting roster of acts for its intimate gathering on the shores of Windermere.

There are only 200 tickets and as it is taking place at the end of September it makes for an exciting finish to the welly-wearing season.

Over the two-day long gathering, in the main tent there will be some roaring performances from bands playing every style of music from progressive electro, to thumping post punk groups and even some edgy dark dance jazz.

On Friday night, man will meet machine when the Three Trapped Tigers takes to the stage. The trio manage to fascinate and mystify their listeners with their unmatched bewildering electro tracks. From wonder to frantic dancing, audiences will be induced to a fierce mix of emotions.

Charged to get festival-goers on their feet on Saturday (September 22) is a Leeds-born band who has stolen hearts where ever they play. Heart Ships, a six piece, feature vocals similar to Arcade Fire, a quirky beat echoing Wild Beasts and stage presence truly their own. Lead singer Ryan Cooke’s forces every last breath from the bottom of his being when he sings the band's folk rock hits during what's always an explosive set.

Mad Colours, a trio from Sheffield, will also be making an appearance on Saturday. Their post punk tracks unite 60s riff with hippie lyrics and hectic beats.

Another attraction at this back-to-pure festival fun event is its array of beautifully novel areas to watch the bands play. With wooden shacks, a purpose built shed-type tent and lots more.

Bringing the essentials back to festival life this event will also have running water, good toilet facilities and homemade food at the venue.
