EACH week one of our reporters conducts the world’s weirdest interview.

They must ask an innocent pedestrian to answer a series of ‘60 Seconds’ queries, for a mini interview in our free paper The Citizen.

This comprises the oddest selection of questions they will ever face. Here they are, in case you want to play along:

What is your name, age, town, occupation and star sign?

What is your earliest recollection?

What is your happiest memory?

What is the weirdest thing that has ever happened to you?

What is your favourite film and favourite book?

What would you do if you won the lottery?

What has been your greatest achievement?

What are three things on your life to-do list?

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with?

Do you like Marmite?

What three things would you take to a desert island?

Do you believe in ghosts?

Who has been the most influential person in your life, and why?

When was the last time you cried? (I try to avoid this one; I don’t want any breakdowns on Highgate).

What was the last thing to make you smile?

Is the world a better place than it was last year?

What is the most romantic thing you have ever done? (This question opens a can of worms and should not be put to anyone looking highly strung).

And, if you became the Prime Minister what would be the first thing you would change?

It is genuinely amazing to hear some people’s answers. “I would like to be stuck in a lift with Boris Johnson, just so he couldn’t be causing trouble anywhere else.”

“My earliest recollection was getting my head stuck between railings.”

“My favourite film is Finding Nemo.” (that was a grown man in a suit!) It is a bit awkward to collar strangers to answer these weird conundrums, but they clearly reveal just how different – and often how utterly bonkers – people are. I dare you to try it.
