The final countdown is here and we are just 15 days away from crowning the very best of Cumbria’s businesses.

The 2020 edition of the in-Cumbria Business Awards is set to be a unique and one-off edition of the annual event, very much inline with the year we have all experienced due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

For the first time the event will be taking place interactively and you will be able to watch it unfold with guest host from the world of radio - Vassos Alexander - from the comfort of your living room and with your home comforts to hand. So, to make sure you don’t miss out on the big occasion by getting your ticket as soon as possible.

Taking place via a live stream, the awards event will start at 7pm on Thursday 12th November.

We have had more than 100 first-class nominations spread over 11 categories which our list of grade-A judges, from an array of industries, the world of academia and Newsquest Cumbria staff, have had the unenviable task of selecting winners from the final shortlist of three per category.

The volume and calibre of the nominations shows that despite the turbulence of 2020, the appetite for business and economic growth within Cumbria is still there and we look forward to meeting you all interactively.

in-Cumbria audience & content editor Luke Jarmyn said: “I’ve been absolutely delighted with support we have had from whole of Cumbria’s business community which has helped us continue the awards within an unprecedented circumstance.

“The calibre of the nominations has been outstanding, and it has been a delight to hear their many merits as we went through the judging process.

“We have had a perfect mix with judges who are experts in their fields to not only decide the ultimate winners, but also offer valuable advice and insight to our finalists. I am very thankful to them for taking the time out to perform a crucial service. As a judge myself I can confirm it was a very tough and arduous process. If you haven’t already, make sure you’ve bought a ticket for the big night.”
