A FIREFIGHTER and her sister have undertaken an incredible challenge for the Fire Fighters Charity by running across all of Cumbria and beyond.
Rosie Persons, 27, and her sister, Heather Trafford, 33, ran 156 miles across four counties in four days, and raised more than £3,000.
The pair covered all the counties under North West Fire control and visited each areas fire station along the route.
Their run took them from Penrith to such areas as Windermere, Kendal, Carnforth before finishing in Lymm.
Rosie said: “Originally it was 140 miles but once we got a route it was 156 miles.
“I’ve been with Morecambe Fire service for eight years, on part-time retainer and work full-time at Blackpool. We’re so happy about the amount we raised. It’s a sometimes forgotten charity. Thank you everyone who supported us and thank you to Heather for being with me throughout it all.”
