LANCASHIRE farmers have been told to look out for signs of Bluetongue virus after four infected sheep imported into the county had to be put down.
The disease was detected in the animals brought in from France.
Bluetongue does not affect people or food safety but can cause reduce milk yields, infertility and death in sheep and cattle. movement restrictions at the affected premises are in place.
