TWO people saved a woman who was standing on a bridge over the M65.
Police went to a 'concern for safety' call at about 10.15am where they found the woman, who was in her thirties, standing on a bridge near junction five for Guide and the Grane Road.
Reports on social media say that traffic was being held in both directions while police were dealing with the incident.
A police spokesperson said that at about 10.30am two passers-by helped to get the woman off the bridge.
Ambulance services "came across" the incident and two ambulance crews helped the woman.
Paramedics checked her over once she was brought to safety but she was not taken to hospital.
