Traffic police find abandoned digger which caused debris on M61
A digger and trailer which appeared to have been involved in a collision was discovered on the M61.
Police said debris stretching back several miles had been left on one of the lanes.
Lancashire Road Police posted this morning: “If you’re involved in a collision on the motorway it’s a good idea to report it to the police especially if you have left debris in lane three.
“After a three mile trail on the M61 MN38 soon found the offending vehicle and trailer. Driver traced and reported.”
The digger was not stolen according to police.
