Infections: The party was in clear breach of coronavirus regulations
A HOUSE party with over 50 people in attendance has been broken up by police.
Officers say that they received reports of the party on Scawfell Road, Chorley late at night on Friday April 9.
This was in breach of coronavirus restrictions, with attendees risking the spread of infection.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers attended and found a large house party ongoing with an estimate of over 50 people in attendance, mostly teenagers.
"As a result, the occupant of the address has been issued with a £10,000 Covid 19 fine.
"We appreciate this address has caused several issues for residents since the pandemic began and thank them for their patience."
